Continue to Pontboset, do not enter the village but continue along the regional road to the second entrance, where you turn left to reach the beginning of the village. Trail description

From the village follow the internal road until you reach the main road, turn left and immediately right along the road that climbs to Biel. Follow it completely until a few hundred meters before Biel (a small detour to the village to admire the largest fountain in a single block of stone in Valle d'Aosta is recommended) where the beautiful military road begins on the right.
Continue along the beautiful military road until you reach the houses of Barge. Continue along the paved road, cross the main road and immediately take the mule track on the right that descends along the route of the Cammino Balteo until you reach the chapel of Santa Lucia. Reach the paved road and follow it downhill to the first hairpin bend where you continue to the small hamlet of Vermy.
At the beginning of the hamlet, take the steep path to the left that leads to the Goilles di Hône. You follow it all the way with a few footbridges that lead to the iron bridge that crosses the stream and just after to the paved road. Continue downhill, passing near the RV area, until you reach the stream.
On the right there are footbridges that run along the stream and then cross the bridge (it is also possible to cross to the other side, the route is just as beautiful) and follow the car road to the bridge that takes us to Bard. After crossing the bridge we enter the hamlet, which we follow to the church where on the right begins the pedestrian path that leads to the parade ground end of our route. After the first part of the hamlet, it is necessary to turn right to reach the ticket office to collect the ticket for access to the fort and the museums.
