Mont Avic Nature Park Visitor Center
The Mont Avic Nature Park visitor center was built by recovering "Villa Biamonti," a building constructed in the early 20th century with the function of a tourist dwelling.
The ground floor houses the information office and a small reception room.
The exhibition part describes the geological, morphological and biological aspects of the high-altitude environments of the Park. On the second floor the most interesting geological and morphological features of the Dondena valley are described, using a rich series of photographic images, artifacts, dynamic models and a model on which thematic maps are projected. Finally, on the second floor flora, vegetation, fauna and pastoral activities are illustrated. Particularly original are the displays dealing with small and large predators, using models and exhibits from an unusual perspective.
