San Grato Parish Church

The original church was built between 1622 and 1624, thus shortly before the founding of the parish (1625), but it was later rebuilt in 1843-44, based on the design and under the direction of architect Pacifique Dallou of Donnas. In 1910 the interior walls were frescoed by painters Stornone, Sardi, and Carretti. The altar is 19th-century, but it contains statues made in 1706 by the Biella master Serra. The triumphal crucifix would date from 1625.
In the square in front of the church is a beautiful stone fountain built in 1830 by the stone cutters Peraldo of Biella.
