How to get there to Champdepraz

By Car Champdepraz can be reached by exiting the motorway at Verrès and taking the state road (strada statale) towards Aosta for about 5 minutes (3 km).

By Public Transport

Champdepraz can be reached from both Turin and Milan, either by train or by bus, getting off at Verrès. From there, you can reach Champdepraz by local bus.

When is the best time to walk the trail?

The ideal period is from late June to mid-September.

However, the route is feasible at other times of the year using the alternative routes provided.

Is it possible to do the trek independently?

Of course, the website provides a list of accommodation facilities participating in the project under the heading ‘Participating services’.

Is it possible to have your luggage transported from one facility to another?

Yes, except for the Barbustel refuge, which cannot be reached by public transport. In all other cases, it is possible within the organised packages.

From the website, you can download the complete route or individual stages at the bottom of the pages in .gpx or .kml format.
