Presentation

Trek’eau is an initiative that aims to promote trekking and sustainable tourism in the Mont Avic Park, Champorcher Valley and Bard Fortress areas.

The project aims to encourage direct knowledge of the culture, traditions and local communities, as well as the natural environments of great interest, offering an authentic experience.

The name Trek’eau is a play on words between trekking and water (eau in French), because this area is rich in waterways: dozens of lakes to admire and two streams, the Chalamy and the Ayasse, which have created landscapes of great beauty.

The initiative was financed with FOSMIT funds from the Autonomous Region of Valle d’Aosta and the municipalities of Champdepraz, Champorcher, Pontboset, Hône and Bard.

The Bard Fortress and the Mont Avic Natural Park are also collaborating on the project.
