Château (via fondovalle) – La Veulla (Pontboset)
The route is easy on the valley floor, where rural architecture is well present.
Pay attention to the many forks in the path.
The trail that follows the canal and leads to the village of Crest has some exposed sections. Just after the start, with a small detour from the trail, you can admire from above the Goilli du Pourcet, a large puddle carved out by the Ayasse stream. Descending, you can admire several chapels in the various villages.
Going up to the two villages of the Crest, it is possible to imagine the rural life of the past, when each community was independent and had a church, bakery, school, mill, and everything useful. Arriving at the bottom of the valley, one can admire some of the bridges of Pontboset.

Trail description
From Château, turn back following the route of the previous day, cross the creek and then follow the rural road on the left. After a few hundred meters, you descend to the left into a clearing with houses, until you reach a fork. At this point, you take the Orridi path on the left (with a small detour on the flat to the left you can admire the Goilli de Pourtsèt and the great work done by the waters).
The path descends steeply, skirting the stream and reaching the asphalt road, which you follow slightly uphill until you reach Outre l'Ève. You pass near the beautiful chapel and, once the asphalt is finished, take the path that descends to the valley floor.
You cross a small bridge and continue through glades and woods until you reach another bridge to cross; with a short climb you reach the houses of Salleret. A small stretch of asphalt road leads to the regional road, where you turn right onto the mule track that leads to the Frassiney bridge.
You reach Savin and again the regional road at Trambesere, where you enter among the houses and cross the stream again to continue to La Vareisa. From here, you ascend along the asphalt road until you take the mule track, which you climb up until you find the road again, which you follow to the left.
You then enter the village of Folliettaz, with its characteristic shoemaker's sign. You take the road again, which you follow until you find the mule track that leads to Delivret. In some sections the mule track is not well traversed, so you follow the asphalt road up to a hairpin bend where the canal path starts. You follow it completely level (watch out for some somewhat exposed sections) and, with a final steep climb, you reach the houses of Crest Dessus.
After visiting the village, you descend along the mule track to reach Crest Dessous, where it is also possible to have lunch in a characteristic restaurant. You now follow the beautiful mule track that, passing through the village of Creux, reaches the bottom of the valley where you cross the bridges of the Vaseras and the Goillet, and then reach the village of La Veulla.
